Girls Camp this year was pretty great.I have to say that I was disappointed the first day for a few reasons.
1. I had to carry my suitcase about half a mile to get to my addie (addie (n.) a one-room cabin with three walls, and where the fourth wall should be, there is half of a door and a canvas covering. Emily Jardine does not understand why they cannot just use a little bit more wood and make a full wall with a real door.) Needless to say, I couldn't sleep that night, I was so sore.
2. I had to be in charge of another ward. I didn't even know these people, and I had to hang out with them the whole time. And I'll never see them again. I don't understand the way that YCL (Young Camp Leader) stuff is run around here.
3. I had to teach thirteen year olds how to treat each other for shock and heat exhaustion, because we couldn't find the YCL who was supposed to do it. So I had 10 minutes to learn it and teach it. And those girls were being kind of annoying.
Number two was the only real problem, though, and I quickly fixed that. Those of you who read my previous blog know that last year for girls camp, I was a cheater and snuck out of the 4th year cabin so that I could hang out/sleep with/eat with my own ward, right? Well, I basically did that this time. The girls I was in charge of didn't even really like me that much, so I hung out and ate with my ward instead of them. Because at camp, Emily Jardine has always kind of done what she wants and gotten away with it. Mwahaha. :) (Not really, just with those two instances.)
Anyway, we had a blast, and learned many wonderful things. The theme this year was "Deeply Rooted", with the three days themes being "Cultivate", "Nourish", and "Harvest". We compared our spiritual lives to trees with strong roots. The speakers were wonderful. I almost cried for every one of them. And then on the last night, I cried during testimony meeting. As always.
Here are some fun pictures that I took at camp, and edited on Picnik. Because my camera takes pretty lame pictures, and needs Picnik to fix them up.

These are my feet after the hike, which wasn't even a hard hike. My feet just got really dirty.
This is Emily W. She is my jolly good friend Haylie G.'s half sister. She was trying to force cookies into other people's mouths, so we stuffed one into her's.
There was a tire swing right next to my ward's addie. I pretty much loved it to death.
This is Michaela R. She rocks my world. Too bad you can't see her face.
Here are a few Beehives (beehive (n.) a twelve or thirteen year old Mormon girl) in my ward. These girls make me smile every time I see them. Look at how sweet they are! They are all best friends with each other. This was their first year at camp. From left to right is Emily W., Brooke D., and McKenna S. I love these girls. They (as well as Kayla C., who will be in further pictures) are the reason I "cheated" on being a good YCL.
Also, they can dance like John Travolta. :)
My friend Kasey K. found a lizard. It was super cute. She licked it. With her tongue.
This is Kayla C. She is one of the super duper-est people I have ever met in my life. And she's a good dancer. She's been trying to teach me how to jerk every week for the past couple of months. I am failing.
This is McKenna S. She is the most gorgeous twelve-year-old I have ever met. And she is sweet, and very mature beyond her years. Needless to say, I freaking love her.
Another picture of McKenna S., because I basically love taking sneak pictures of gorgeous people. It drives me crazy that even her sneak pictures are beautiful.
We were messing with Kayla C. Because Kayla C. is cooler than the flip side of my pillow, and we needed a goofy picture of her. So we squashed her face. Mwahaha.
Here are a few of the Beehives doing "Tootie-Ta" on the stage. These girls don't really get embarrassed easily. From left to right: Raquelle W., Emily W., Brooke D., and McKenna S.
Camp was so much fun. I loved hanging out with MY ward. These girls are amazing. Thank you, Lexie, Brittany, Michaela, Raquelle, Haylie, Megan, Hannah, Brooke, McKenna, Emily, Krista, and Kayla, for making our ward proud. This year and last year, the other wards have noticed how bright, happy and friendly these girls are, and it made me literally cry at camp to see every single one of them treating each other like best friends, despite their completely different personalities and likes and dislikes. They are so accepting of everyone. I love you girls!
P.S. Thank you for all of you who commented on my swimsuit post. I noticed that you all liked the bumble bee one.
And though I am super lame for not listening to your input, I decided I fell in love with this suit:
Sorry. I purchased it today. It will arrive at my doorstep in one week.
Speaking of swimsuits and summer and stuff, I need a tan. And sitting out in the sun for a tan is not worth my time, nor is it going to work for me. So I am ashamed to ask if any of you people know of any good tanning product I can use? I don't anything that will instantly make me orange, like tanning lotion. I just want some sort of lotion with a little bit of tanning product worked into it, that will make a gradual tan. I know Jergins has a good one, as well as Neutrogena. Will anyone help my pathetic, white self?
P.S.S. When I say I need a tan, I mean I NEED one. My makeup shade that I buy is the lightest one that Covergirl sells. Thats how bad it is.
P.S.S.S. I am still ashamed.

Mimi, you basically rock my world! I love you to death, and I love Lo Mia do death, and I love my ward (which I;m sorry to say is better than yours, because nobody beats Santa Rita 1... but don't cry, because I'm sure yuo guys come in at a close second... :) ), but that's beside the point. What I'm trying to say is that you're amazing, and I love your blog!
