I guess we can blame it on the rain.

Favorite things I've been thinking about today.
1. This tutorial. I will seriously be making, like, 20 of these, if I have anything to say about it.

2. This picture from the trailer. Sorry if you're annoyed. Actually, I'm not sorry. Just deal with it. :)

3. I was watching The Two Towers, and Samwise Gamgee {my freaking favorite character} said a quote that brings joy to my heart.
"I know. It's all wrong. By rights we shouldn't even be here. But we are. It's like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger, they were. And sometimes, you didn't want to know the end, because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was, when so much bad happened? But in the end, it's only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines, it will shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you-- that meant something, even if you were to small to understand why. But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand. I know now. Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back. Only they didn't. They kept going, because they were holding on to something."
Ohmyheck I want that framed on my wall or something.

4. We got a popcorn popper. My friends, I testify to you that you should never buy dumb microwave popcorn again. Poppers are cheaper in the end, and they are funner. And the popcorn is fluffier, and not kernel-y. Yum.

5. How about that huboob last night? {snicker, snicker.teehee.}

NIFTY FIFTY!!!

WE INTERRUPT THE 30 DAY CHALLENGE TO BRING YOU THRILLING NEWS.

Guess what today is??

Emily Jardine's FIFTIETH Post!!

In honor of this spiffy day, let's do a 50 list.

How 'bout:
50 Things You Most Likely Didn't Know About Emily Jardine:
1. I never tried a burger until I was 12 years old. I wasn't so impressed.
2. I am secretly in love with iCarly from Nickelodeon.
3. When I was 10 or so, my brother Keaton accidentally dropped a plastic jar full of water onto my big toe on my left foot. A couple weeks later my toenail turned purple-ish black and fell off.
4. I have never broken a bone.
5. I have only been to two other states, California and Utah.
6. If I knew I could get through the schooling involved, I would totally be a astronaut when I grow up. That kinda stuff is so incredibly interesting to me. And the experience is kind of worth the, you know, high risk of death.
7. I am moving in 3 weeks. Just down the street, no big deal. I am pretty excited, actually. I am going to make my new bedroom light pink, white, and black.
8. My favorite show as a child was Power Puff Girls.
9. When I was in preschool, my best friend's name was YaYa. No joke.
10. I like eating cold mozerella cheese and cold pizza sauce on top of Ritz crackers.
11. When I was a freshman, I tried out for my first play. I was convinced that I would be a fantastic actor, and that the drama teacher couldn't resist picking me, and I cried right when I found out she didn't. Haha, stupid girl. Acting is not my thing.
12. I sometimes wish I could have a party where we had a bonfire to burn every individual page of the Twilight saga.
13. I am 25% Italian.
14. One time, when I was in cosmetology class, we were practicing acrylic nails, and I accidentally glued my legs together with nail glue. Everyone laughed at me. Fair enough.
15. My dad thinks he saw Taylor Swift at Chandler Fashion Square.
16. My cat likes to steal my Q-Tips.
17. My grandpa makes his own homemade raisins. They are really good.
18. I am hopelessly girly. Seriously. Glitter, pink, princesses, ribbons, ruffles, purses, bows, bubbles, the list is endless, but I love it all. It's kind of sick. Go ahead, vomit from frustration in this travesty.
19. When I was little, I asked my mom if I could have a pony. She said no. I immediately sobbed.
20. Roller coasters scare me. A lot.
21. My favorite vegetable is edamame.
22. My favorite fruit is watermelon.
23. My cat sleeps in the bathroom sink.
24. When my mom was little, she put sunflower seeds in the sink drain. They grew.
25. Sometimes I wish I lived in the 80's.
26. I LOVE HARRY POTTER WITH ALL THE PASSION OF MY SOUL.
27. I have eaten mixed veggies for breakfast, just out of craving.
28. I didn't drink any soda for the entire 2010 year. Everyone told me that I would drink it again and hate it. I am here to tell you that at 12:15am on January 1, 2011, there was nothing, NOTHING, better than that Dr. Pepper I sucked down.
29. I saw The Princess and the Frog for the first time on Wednesday.
30. Keaton likes to eat dry Ramen. Gross.
31. When I was little, my cousin was getting married in the Mesa temple, and my other cousin tried to throw me in the fountain in front of the temple. I remember that EVERY time I go there now.
32. Erika Danielle showed me and Jadyn Maree that there are orange trees and kumquat trees at the Mesa temple. If you ever need a kumquat, you know where to go.
33. My favorite scripture right now is Ether 12:4.
34. I have the most wonderful Sunday school teacher erverrrrr. Her name is Sis. Cluff. She gives me hugs and says she loves me every Sunday.
35. Me and Rachel made cookies on Monday. They were giant. Way giant.
36. I really hate mainstream music. Big time. Ke$ha, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, whatever these kids are listening to these days, I hate it. Blegh.
37. I do like country. A lot. And Mindy Gledhill and other indie music.
38. When I grow up, I am going to marry Ferb Fletcher.
39. I can hula hoop for 18 minutes and 21 seconds.
40. I started using ProActiv when I was TEN. I'm WAY cool, huh??
41. Jesus is my best friend.
42. I have a lot of second best friends.
43. My mom's favorite scripture is John 14:27.
44. I never passed swimming lessons. I ran away from my teachers and hid in the bathrooms.
45. When I was in third grade, my teacher was my bishop's wife. Yeah. I probably would have been favorite, except her niece was in that class, too. Curses.
46. I'm kind of competitive.
47. Did I mention that I'm ridiculously girly? That probably explains me being in beauty school.
48. I hate snow. It makes my toes numb.
49. I LOVE Lord of the Rings. And Star Wars. And Veggie Tales.
50. I have cried during the following movies: A Walk to Remember, A Little Princess, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1, and Toy Story 3.

Musings of Me.

1. Today I noticed that Mindy Gledhill's song "Hourglass" is about her son. I now like that song 5 times more.

2. I'm just not cut out for group work. When I work with other people on homework or projects or reading or something, it just turns awkward and I end up wanting nothing more than to go back to MY desk and do it MYself.

3. Getting a facial? Completely and totally incredible. I seriously slept like a rock on a table with a blankie and pillow for a whole hour at EVIT today while somebody practiced massaging my face. Can life get better? I submit it cannot.

4. I made my mom cherry chocolate cake for her birthday. As in I mixed cherry pie filling in with the rest of the devils food cake cake batter. I seriously am in some serious love.

5. A fellow Mormon kid at my school today told me that someone told him he smelled Mormon. My other (not Mormon) friend added, "What the heck do Mormons even smell like?? Holy water?!" I died laughing.

6. Oh hey. Remember how I said I slepted with a blankie and a pillow at EVIT today? Well I had to bring those myself. So while still at regular high school, a security guard saw my sleeping materials and asked me if I got kicked out of my house. Trying not to die laughing, I put on my straight face and said yes.

7. Oh. Hey again. Can someone tell me what everyone has against Mormons?? I mean, today in science a kid asked, "What's Salt Lake City?" The teacher answered, "It's the part of Utah where a ton of Mormons live." Then the kid said, "OH. NEVER MIND. I don't wanna go there now."
Seriously. It gets old. It really does.

8. I got the most attractive bike ever for Christmas. It's a beautiful sea foam green beach cruiser with brown and black leather seats and handles. It's my pride and joy.

That's all for now, folks. :)

LOVE IS

The end.

P.S. I respect when people have different interests from me. But there are exceptions:
Chocolate
Phineas and Ferb
Disney movies
Harry Potter
World peace

I fight the urge to scratch my own eyeballs out when people tell me they don't like these things.

P.P.S. If you don't like these things, that doesn't mean I don't like you. It just means I am going to need some time. Or I'll twitch whenever I see you.

I Am Still Alive

I was only grounded. For my chemistry grade.

But since then I got 3 100%'s on chemistry tests, and student of the month in chemistry.
So I won.
Anyways, some things that are making me happy areeeee......

Priscilla Ahn
OH my dear. I love her music to the death. Especially A Good Day. And Dream. And all the other ones.

My new CTR ring
I haven't had one since I was 9 years old. Because I lose them. But I bought one after school yesterday, and I am so very happy.

My American History Online class

Yes. I said it. You know WHY?? Well, remember when I did my world studies online class and it had 20 honking lessons per semester?? (Thats huge by the way.) Well this one has 11. ELEVEN.
I am eternally grateful.

Princesses
I heart-y heart-heart these people. On Thursday, we initiated Victoria/Monroe (the one on the far right) into the fold. Then the next morning we went to...

The TempleIs there any place more beautiful in this whole valley? Every time I even pass by it, let alone go there, I get warm fuzzy happiness all over. Me and my princess friends (minus Victoria, she got stomach flu. Sad.) went to the Mesa, Arizona temple to do baptisms for the dead. It was wonderful, and all little old ladies working at the temple thought it was cute that we were all going as friends. It was wonderful. :)
P.S. They are building two more around here. One in Gilbert, AZ and one in Pheonix, AZ. Plus they just dedicated the one in Gila Valley. Arizona is getting temples galore!

GIRLS CAMP GIRLS CAMP GIRLS CAMP!
Can life get any better than this? I submit to you it cannot! Last year was the greatest year of girls camp of all time, and seeing how everything is running so far, it will be even better this year. I am a YCL (Youth Camp Leader) so I get to have all of the fun of waking people up (mwahahaha) and leading silly songs, and teaching 12 year olds how to save each others lives and tie knots and stuff. 11 more days!! Hooray!

Thrift ShoppingCall me a crazy, cheap goofball (which I am) but I LOVE this place. It makes shopping more of a game. A lot of the stuff you find at thrift stores are a bunch of smelly old junk. A lot of the stuff makes you laugh until you pee. And then there are the hidden treasures. It is when you find something gorgeous that you go "Eureka!" and it is when you find it at 2 freaking bones when you go "HAHA I WIN!" It makes me very happy. I am going to Savers tomorrow morning. There is a 50% Memorial Day sale. I am there. :)

Well, I am back. So you will hear much more from me. Until then!

My Very Favorite Movie of All Time

A Little Princess (1995)

I am suprised that many people aren't in love with this movie. It's not a super popular one. But it is AMAZING. It has beautiful music, it is pretty intense, the story is wonderful, and the characters are darling. Plus, it is set in the early 1900's. AND I LOVE THAT.

"All women are princesses. It is our right"-Maya

"She was so beautiful. What did you love about her the most?" "I loved the why she smiled, I loved the way she sang the Indian folk song. But most of all I loved dancing with her."

"What are you doing? Memorizing me by heart?"
"No. I already know you by heart."

"Don't you understand what I am saying?! You are alone in the world."

"You know, dolls make the very best friends. Just because they can't speak doesn't mean they don't listen. And did you know that when we leave them alone in our room, they come to life?"
"They do?" "Yes! But before we walk in and catch them, they return to their place as quick as lightning!" "Why don't they come to life in front of us so we can see them?" "Because it's magic. Magic has to be believed. It's the only way it's real."

a little princess film

"Let's make a promise right now: to always look out for each other."
"It's a promise."

a little princess film

"Sara... why don't you tell your stories anymore?" "They're just make-believe. They don't mean anything." "Oh, but they've always meant something to me. There were days I thought I would die, until I heard you talk about the magic."

Hooray for old-fashioned movies.
Hooray for Sara Crewe.
Hooray for Romy.
Hooray for General Conference tomorrow.
Hooray for princesses.

I am falling in love with the following:

Amy Adams as Amelia Earhart in Night at the Museum 2

Perfect perfect perfect perfect perfect. :)

And I thought I loved Amy Adams before when she played Giselle in Enchanted...
Which, I did. Definitely. I guess Amy Adams just plays all of my favorite roles.

She should play Glinda in the Wicked movie.
Gasp. :)

Anyway... Night at the Museum 2

The way she carried herself

The way she talked

The way she spontaneously and hilariously flirted with Ben Stiller's character, Larry Daley

Her outfit and her HAIR

And most of all, her quotes:

"Great Gatsby!"

"Do you know why I became a pilot?" "I have no idea." "For the fun of it. Why else would anybody do anything?"

"I feel as if I have been asleep for a very long time, and now suddenly, I'm awake!"

"You've got moxy, kid!"

"Oh, please, you haven't been able to get you cheaters of my chassis since we first met!"

"I don't want to come with you because I am attracted to you, which so far I am not. It's because I smell adventure, and d*** it, I want in."

{NOTE: Let's not think now that Emily likes the d word. Emily deeply despises the d word. Emily is sad that Amy Adams used the d word. Emily likes the quote as a whole, because of the way her voice and her tone changed, and the quote as a WHOLE. Thank you. :)}

And my FAVORITE OF ALL TIME:

"Crimey, we've been jimmy-jacked!" "Jimmy-jacked?" "It's how I speak!" "I know, but that one sounds made up, even for you." "'Oh no. Our path has been blocked by bad people.' Now where's the fun in that?!"

Ahh.... I love this character.

P.S. Look what I found while I was looking up pictures for this post!
Okay, it's a little hard to see in this picture. But do you see the pregnant belly?! Amy Adams is gonna be a mommy! I love babies!!

Hooray for Amelia Earhart!
Hooray for Giselle!
Hooray for old-fashioned speaking!
Hooray for babies!
Hooray for finishing english essays!
