1. Plot
Harry Potter:
Harry Potter lives in a wizard family with his father and mother when an evil murdering wizard called Voldemort finds them and kills his parents. Miraculously, the killing curse backfires when he tries to kill Harry, and Harry is left with a lightning-bolt shaped scar, and a small piece of Voldemort's soul. Harry grows up not knowing of his past until his eleventh birthday when he is introduced to the wizarding world and is accepted into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He attends school and learns more and more about his parents and himself, with his best friends, Ron Weasley and Hermoine Granger, at his side. Every year, dark forces attempt to attack him, and Harry succeeds in destroying them. Then, Harry's fourth year at Hogwarts, Voldemort is brought back to life in a graveyard, with Harry as the only witness. The next year, he tries to convince others of Voldemort's return, but few believe him. Many, including the Minister of Magic, think he is mad--until Voldemort appears and fights against Harry and his friends at the Ministry of Magic headquarters. The next year, Harry spends his time learning as much as he can about Voldemort and his past, so that the next year, after all of his protectors have been killed by Voldemort's forces, Harry can seek out and destroy Voldemort's seven "horcruxes" or pieces of his soul, and finally destroy him. Harry later marries his best friends sister, while his best friend marries his other best friend.
Twilight:
Bella Swann moves from Pheonix, Arizona to Forks, Washington to live with her father. Pheonix and Forks are very different. Pheonix is a big city with a very dry, hot climate. Forks is moist and wet, and wet. On her first day at a new, small high school, she is in science class with a guy sitting next to her who is having a silent fit. He is gone for a long time, and when he comes back, his eyes are a different color, and he isn't acting weird anymore. He is really pale, and so are his adopted brothers and sisters, who all look the same age. And are dating each other. One day, Bella almost gets hit by a truck, when this pale man comes and blocks it. He and Bella are unharmed. For the next few weeks she questions him and his species. He denies any supernatural powers, but eventually tells her that he is a vampire named Edward and is madly in love with her sweet smelling blood. They begin dating. But too bad Bella's best friend Jacob hates vampires. So she ditches her best friend for a while, and all the rest of her friends, and hangs out with Edward and his siblings. Evil, human-eating vampires find them and want to eat Bella, so Edward's family helps her get out of the state. The evil vampire finds her and almost eats her, but she is saved. The next summer, Edward tells Bella that he's leaving her and never coming back. So Bella gets super depressed and does nothing with herself for months, until she realizes she hears Edwards voice if she does stupid, dangerous stuff, like run into trees with motorcycles and jump off cliffs. She gets back with her best friend Jacob for two reasons, 1. He never wears his shirt, and 2. He can help her do dangerous things. Edward's sister, Alice, comes back to Forks to visit Bella, because she had a vision that Bella had jumped off a cliff, and thought that she was dead. Edward got the impression that Bella was dead, too, so Alice had a vision that he was going to make the most powerful vampires in the world, the Volturi, mad, so that they'd kill him. So Bella and Alice go to Italy to save him. Oh, and Bella is done with her best friend again. But wait, a few months later she misses him, but now Edward and Jacob are sworn enemies, even though they both want to protect Bella. And Edward is such a controlling boyfriend that he is filling out college applications for her and won't allow her to see Jacob. But she does it anyway. Soon they find out that there is an army of evil baby vampires killing people because they can't control their hunger. So Edward, Bella, and Jacob run away to the mountains to hide her. Jacob has a fit because he hears Edward and Bella talking about marriage, so he decides to fight the baby vampires in order to kill himself. Meanwhile, the most evil vampire, Victoria, tracks Edward, forcing Edward to fight the babies, too. After they beat baby butt, Bella tells Jacob that she loves him, but loves Edward better. Sorry dude. Your shirt-ripping-off just wasn't as good as his cold stone-ness. Then Edward and Bella get married and Bella gets pregnant with a baby vampire. So when the baby is getting born, it goes savage inside her womb and tries to rip her stomach. So Edward has to turn her into a vampire so that she can live. Jacob watches the whole thing. The end.
If I said something wrong about the Twilight Saga, tell me. I didn't read half of Eclipse or Breaking Dawn. I couldn't take it. But I feel pretty accurate.
